Ebonised 'Stone' bowl #1

25cm x 12cm - A carved and ebonised 'Stone' bowl in oak by designer and wood carver Jamie Gaunt.
 
This bowl is the first 'Stone' bowl to receive the ebonising treatment - using vinegar and steel wool to create an iron oxide that reacts with the tannins naturally existing in the oak.
