'Stone' bowl #18

24cm x 12cm - A carved 'Stone' bowl from the design studio of wood carver Jamie Gaunt
 
This 'Stone' bowl is slightly larger than the other bowls in the series and posses a depth of flavour and character in greater abundance due to it being air-dried oak. The process of air drying has allowed the bowl to draw elements of nature into its fabric to inform its colour, the way it has aged and even the splits that have formed over the years. All these factors bring a grounded beauty to the piece and provide us with an ageless form.  This bowl remains free from oils and waxes which allows us to interact with the original material.
